I'm not very happy with this movie. I don't like mixing my alien conspiracies with the religious ones. And that's exactly what this did.
The movie wasn't great, there was a ton of plot holes (the main character, Dr. Abigail Tyler, has memories of her husband being murdered, but he actually shot himself, all the while she still has custody of her 2 kids, one went blind after the dad died, the other is clearly afraid of her). The aliens that are abducting people, their motive is never explored and they speak in a dead Sumeritan language. Now if you were an alien, wouldn't you try speaking a language that's used today? And by the end of the flick, the aliens are telling Tyler that they're God - 2 genres that don't go together in my book. The so-called real footage, is obviously faked (stretched mouths and levitation by a man that just happens to be under a blanket). If you google psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler in Alaska, it takes you to an empty webpage with no contact info and insufficient links. They tried to do an Orson Welles 'War of the Worlds' / Blair Witch thing and produce fake media for it, but it doesn't work.
Milla Jovovich looks hotter then ever, but Leeloo Dallas Multipass can't save this one.
5 outta 10
