Avatar: The Last Airbender

Despite this film containing everything that is sacred in my love for animation, martial art and elemental legends, I didn't see this movie in the theatres. Not because I had a problem with the nationalities of the actors, not because I had a problem with the short presentation of the movie.... it's just that M. Night Shyamalan is a thriller director. You can't bring the methodic pace and build up into a movie like Th Last Airbender. It would be as if Alfred Hitchcock directed Fast and the Furious.

There were a lot of things wrong with this as a film in general:
Too many close up shots. Like an entire 2 minute conversation between Aang, Katara & Sokka. You could damn near count the pores on the kids faces, it was so close.
The slow motion action. Stop! It only worked in The Matrix & 300!
The fighting. It looked like a couple of second year kung fu students play fighting all through the background. So much money was spent on ILM's water CG they forgot to put dough into the fight choreography.
Dev Patel. The kid can't act. Period. That was a hella selfish move to put that guy in there just because he's Indian also.

Whatever.

Sorry about the Japanese trailer. It was of better quality then anything else.
