Before there was Saw there was Cube, the twisty horror/thriller series created by Vincenzo Natali (Splice) that featured groups of people trying to escape number-coded trapped rooms that are part of a maze-like structure. The series was made up of the original 1997 film and two follow-ups, a sequel and a prequel, in 2002 and 2004 respectively.

Now STYD says that LionsGate is putting togehter another film, though whether sequel, prequel or reboot is uncertain. All the site has is a title, possibly a placeholder: Cube 3D.
