The latest name to be thrown around in the live action version of 'Akira
' is Keanu Reeves. THR is reporting that the Matrix
star's name has been thrown into the hat alongside James Franco, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Pattinson and even Michael Fassbender for the role of Kaneda. Warner Bros. has already put Albert Hughes (The Book Of Eli
) to the task of direction, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Iron Man
, Children of Men
) are writing and Leonardo DiCaprio is producing.
My biggest hope is that they at least due justice to Kaneda's bike!
