The relaunch of the “
X-Men” franchise has received a lot of praise since opening last weekend, but it’s far from the only reboot hitting screens over the next few years. “
Daredevil,” which was made into a movie in
2003
, is also being set up for a big feature-film comeback — and it may have snagged a hot writer to help it along.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter,
Brad Caleb Kane, a writer and producer from “
Fringe
,” has been tapped to write the reboot’s script. It won’t just be any script, though: the movie will be based on
Frank Miller and
David Mazzucchelli’s celebrated '
Born Again
' arc.
A few other names are also attached to the project so far, including
David Slade as director (
30 Days Of Night
), as well as producers
Peter Chernin and
Dylan Clark.
In the 1986 '
Born again' story arc,
Daredevil struggles to rebuild his life after losing everything — including his sanity — at the hands of the
Kingpin.
Hat tip to
Grace A. on the suggestion of
Bradley Cooper as the charismatic blind lawyer.
