GFW While the car is still very much in the concept stages, the McLaren P1 is rumored to contain within it a twin turbo V10 or the same 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine from the MP4-12C combined with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) for a combined power output of  963 bhp. This may enable the P1 to reach a theoretical top speed of approximately 239 mph.
