Dwayne 'Roadblock' Johnson to Lead ‘G.I. Joe 3′

Variety With a new writer in tow, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is set to be the lead actor in the next incarnation of the G.I. Joe franchise.Writer Jonathan Lemkin (Shooter, Lethal Weapon 4, Devil's Advocate) is set to pen while Jon Chu will return once his Jem and the Holograms film is complete.

G.I. Joe 3 is tentatively scheduled for a 2016 release.
