In 1986, a movie was released that would forever change my life.
The Wraith
Murder, ghosts, revenge and MUSCLE CARS! This movie gets my
King Shit Award top of the top favorite movie.
The reason you ask, the car: 1984 Dodge M4S this vehicle single handedly kindled my undying love for the Machine. I sat at the San Leandro Library as a little boy and read Chilton manuals and installation instruction booklets while my friends were busy with their Nintendo Power and GamePro mags.
The movie, short and simply is about a young man (Charlie Sheen) being murdered in front of his girlfriend by a street racing gang and comes back in a The Crow type of way to kill each member, one by one. Sandwiched between all that is some decent street racing scenes with classic 80s muscle cars like an '82 Vette and '84 Dodge Daytona. But the siccness is with the Wraith car. Just watching it move around like it was on rails, its stance and color built the standard for which I hold fantasy cars.
This is a must for for any dvd collection because it does also have a story about undying passion and brothers' love. I found it online at Amazon or preorder the blu-ray at Walmart.
10 outta 10
